I wanted to share with you a doll I found in her things that I played with as a kid. It's crazy, but I hadn't seen this doll in 25+ years. It was stowed away in her cedar chest. Isn't it weird when you have a connection with something, forget about it, and then rediscover it again? It is such a cool feeling! I tried to photo process it in Photoshop a retro way. I think I achieved it, but there's a lot to learn. I'm always fascinated how people have an eye for giving old vintage looks to photos.

I went through a lot of her things in her trailer. She actually had moved there 7-8 months ago, so when she moved, she purged a LOT of things, which was good. It wasn't as weird going through her trailer, cause I had more of an attachment to the house she lived in for 30+ years. I did keep some neat things that my mom is shipping out to me. I'm not one of those crystal/china people. I'd rather have things that have more a sentimental value or appealed to me as a child. To me, it's not really about expensive material things.
Anyway, hope you had a great weekend and have a great week!
Until next time Swellions!

Alexa,
What sweet remembrances of your grandmother. Thank you for sharing her life with us. :-) Hali
I've just re-read your posts about your Grandmother and your love just shines through them all. She was as lucky to have such a wonderful grand daughter as you are to have had so many wonderful years with her.
Oh honey I am so sorry I didn't realize... So far out of the loop. I miss you and hope it all was lovely.
