Small Fry Sewing Circles

Over a year ago, I picked up this vintage sewing circle set from a local thrift store. The colors and graphics inspired me! I wish more kits were made like this today. It is just so adorable.

I'll prob. just use this more for something to prop up. I did think about making a garland out of the circles. I think that would be pretty sweet! Here's some cute detail photos of the set :)

Drumroll please...my new FontCraft site has arrived!

So last week, I mentioned that I had a project going on that I couldn't talk about. Well, I'm spilling the beans on it this week, cause I've loaded it up with all kinds of cool content and I couldn't wait any longer to share it with you!

The site is called FontCrafts and was inspired by my love of all things typography! Honestly, I have been wanting to find my own niche for a while and coming up brand new content all the time for this blog has been a challenge for me. I wanted to hone in on the specific topic of fonts in crafting cause it really is who I am (graphic designer by day, crafter by night). It's only natural I be the one to take this topic on, considering I'm seeing fonts in crafting EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE these days!

So what will you find a this new site? Lots of crafts all devoted to fonts all over the web plus some exclusive projects. There's also lots of inspiration! Everything from videos to quote art to how-to articles and cool stuff you can buy and get inspired by. I wanted this to be a place where you can both hang out and learn at the same time. Fonts are being used in so many cool ways and I want to compile the ideas and bring them to you!

A little update

I know I've been a little M.I.A. as of late. I have a few projects in the burner and I can't wait to tell you more about them!! I will give you a few details, though...



So, I was invited by the ladies of Get a Little Creative (Heather of Dollar Store Crafts, Jennifer of TaterTots and Jello, and Becki of Infarrantly Creative) to host a segment on their show for My Craft Channel. I headed out to Salt Lake City last week along with my Halloween craft supplies and filmed a segment that I can't wait to share with you! That's a pic from it above!!

Here's me off set. I got my hair and makeup did! I can't believe I didn't take a better photo!!



Here's a great recap by Beckie on her blog! I took some pictures and will share them more toward the airing of my segment!

In other news, I'm working on a super fun web site project. I can't reveal too many deets just yet! I was encouraged by Heather (mentioned above), that I should just go for it and own it. Ok, ok, sorry to be incredibly vague, let's just say it's related for my love of design, fonts, and crafts...3 of my very favorite things. I will share very soon!

And I've been already excited about all the fun Halloween action going on these upcoming few months. So anyday now, you can expect some fun updates, so be looking for that! I'll really get going hardcore in September.

So, if you don't see me too often over the next few weeks, don't think I have given up on my blog, it's quite the opposite! I'm just gearing up for all kinds of new things and need a little break to get them all accomplished!
